If you’re anything like me, drink bottles are both important and easily lost. So, when STYR Labs says they’ve developed a US$59 smart bottle I’m both interested and instantly worried that it will either be stolen from the bottle-holder on my bike or left behind at Park Run.
SportTechie reports “The STYR Smart Bottle is an intelligent hydration system that combines a stainless steel insulated bottle with advanced technology through STYR’s patent-pending app that calculates hydration levels based on the user’s motion, biometrics and environmental conditions”.
Daily water intake is tracked and electrolyte balance managed through an embedded, touch-sensitive display that is located on the smart cap. It works with STYR labs’ other connected devices including smart scales and an activity tracker.
