A few weeks ago, we mentioned that Fitbit had a couple of new devices they were testing, under the codenames, Laryon and Fermion. Images have now surfaced, showing the new devices off.
These will be the updated Flex 2 and Charge 2.
And the good news, it looks like the Flex 2 will finally go where no Fitbit has gone before – the pool.
The leaked images, found by TechnoBuffalo, reveal a significant design change for the Flex 2, with the progress lights no oriented along the band rather than across it.
The updated Charge gets an interchangeable band as Fitbit seeks to increase its revenues by creating an accessory line to complement their trackers. This is good news for third parties like BritKali and Funktional Wearables.
There’s no word on an official release date but given this artwork looks pretty complete, we’d expect them to kit the market soon.
