Fitbit’s plan to rule the health and fitness wearable market seems to be based on providing devices at different price points with different capability so they cater to every potential buyer. In other words, they are trying to be all things to all people.
Two new devices have been spotted in the wild, albeit hidden by black wrist bands with the release expected later this year at the IFA event in Berlin during early September.
The new codenames are in keeping with Fitbit’s previous convention. The Alta’s codename was Lepton – all three codenames are sub-atomic particles.
Trademarks for updated Flex and Charge trackers have been registered so it’s a good bet the Laryon and Fermion will be the Fitbit Flex 2 and Fitbit Charge 2.
