It’s no surprise that professional sports are looking to leverage technology in order to find an edge for athletes.
The NBA, the premier basketball league on the planet, is hosting their first every hackathon in New York on 24 September 2016.
Teams accepted to the Hackathon will build basketball analytics tools and develop solutions to challenging and important problems in the field of basketball analytics, and present their work to a panel of expert judges and an audience of NBA League Office and team personnel, media, invited guests and the other competitors. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams, including a tour of the NBA League Office and a lunch with NBA staff. The event will provide an unparalleled platform for the competitors to display their talent in front of key decision makers in the field.
