Study: People benefit from exercise when they expect benefit

mind-bodyPsychologist Hendrik Mothes, from the University of Freiburg’s Sport Science department, and his team have conducted a study finding test subjects derive more psychological as well as neurophysiological benefits from exercise if they already have positive mindsets about sports.

They also found evidence that test subjects can be positively or negatively influenced about the benefits before engaging in exercise.
